¶ Activate
During your turn, you can activate any number of your technologies, use the abilities of your government or religion. You can do that before, during or after your main action. Certain game components can be activated during the achievement phase or cleanup phase. Please refer to its description for details. Some of them can be activated even during the turn of other players, as long as the conditions specified in the description are met.
Once activating a 
recurrent technology during the development phase, put 
activation cube on this card.
Alex chooses production as the main action of his turn. He puts one action cube on his artisan workshop area to produce the fabric again. His LOOM technology allows him to put one action cube instead of two. He also places one action cube on the forge area and produces weapons.
Next, he activates the INNOVATION technology, pays 20
and takes all his action cubes from the artisan workshop and forge. After that, he produces the weapons again, spending only one action cube.
