City area (4) contains city tokens available for construction. This is also where you recruit peasants. The cost of recruitment of each one is indicated on the bottom of this area, and the cost of city construction - on the top.
Supply of action cubes (5). Underneath them is the amount of resources you have to discard each round for each cube that has been added to your economy (consumption).
Forge (6), artisan workshop (7) and meadery (8) contain tokens of the respective production buildings that are available for construction. These areas are used for manufacturing and storage of the respective products. The cost of manufacturing one item is on the bottom of this area, of constructing a single building - on the top.
The Wonder area (9) with its double-sided token.
Walls and palisades area (10) with two-sided tokens. The price of construction of a section of palisade is indicated on the top of this area, of wall - on the bottom.
Castle area (11) with three castle tokens. The price of building a castle is on the top of this area. On the bottom there is a reminder about the ability of the constructed castle to recruit elite units.
The market area (12) with the tokens of corresponding buildings is used for trade. The limit for buying / selling resources / products per transaction is indicated on the bottom.
Dockyard (13), barracks (14), siege workshop (15) with the tokens of military buildings available for construction. These areas are used for recruitment of military units. The prices of recruitment of basic units are on the bottom of this section, and the price of constructing a single building - on the top.
